Privacy Policy
ToolVX Privacy Policy — your data never leaves your device. All PDF and image processing is 100% client-side.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to ToolVX (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website at https://toolvx.com (the “Site”).
ToolVX is a privacy-first, browser-based PDF and image processing platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
2. Core Privacy Principle: 100% Client-Side Processing
This is the most important part of our Privacy Policy.
All sixteen (16) tools provided by ToolVX — including but not limited to PDF & Image Redaction, PDF Compression, PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Rotate, PDF Page Deletion, PDF Metadata Editing, PDF Reader, PDF Page Numbering, PDF Cropping, PDF Watermark, PDF-to-JPG Conversion, JPG-to-PDF Conversion, PDF Signing, PDF Unlock, and PDF Protect — operate exclusively through 100% client-side web-browser processing.
This means:
- No backend server storage. We do not operate any server that receives, stores, processes, or retains your PDF documents, images, or any file data.
- No file uploads. Your files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party server for processing.
- No data interception. We do not intercept, inspect, scan, or analyze the content of any file you process using our tools.
- No pixel-level data collection. We do not capture, record, or transmit any pixel data, text content, metadata, or document structure from your files.
- No data retention. Because your files never leave your device, there is nothing for us to retain, log, or delete.
All processing occurs locally within your web browser’s runtime environment using JavaScript, WebAssembly, and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your files remain on your device at all times.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our Site, we (and our third-party service providers) may automatically collect certain non-personal technical information, including:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and time spent on pages
- IP address (anonymized where possible)
- General geographic location (country/region level, derived from IP)
This information is collected through standard web server logs and analytics cookies. It does not include any information about the files you process using our tools.
3.2 Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our Site. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Site and other websites on the Internet.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our Site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.org.
3.3 Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you contact us via email (admin@toolvx.com), we will receive and may retain the content of your message and your email address for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements. Google may use cookies to collect non-sensitive browsing behavior data for ad personalization. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
- Cloudflare Pages — for website hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may collect standard web server log data. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details.
- GitHub — for source code hosting. See GitHub’s Privacy Policy for details.
None of these third-party services have access to the files you process using our tools.

7. Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
8. Data Security
While our client-side architecture inherently protects your file data (since it never leaves your device), we also implement industry-standard security measures to protect the Site itself, including HTTPS encryption, secure hosting via Cloudflare, and regular security updates.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
