1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the ToolVX website at https://toolvx.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

2. Description of Service

ToolVX provides a collection of free, browser-based PDF and image processing tools, including but not limited to: PDF & Image Redaction, PDF Compression, PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Rotate, PDF Page Deletion, PDF Metadata Editing, PDF Reader, PDF Page Numbering, PDF Cropping, PDF Watermark, PDF-to-JPG Conversion, JPG-to-PDF Conversion, PDF Signing, PDF Unlock, and PDF Protect (collectively, the “Tools”).

All Tools operate exclusively through 100% client-side web-browser processing. ToolVX does not operate any backend server that receives, stores, processes, or retains user-uploaded files. Your PDF documents, images, and all associated data are processed entirely within your web browser’s local runtime environment and never transmitted to our servers.

3. Privacy and Data Handling

3.1 No Server-Side File Processing

ToolVX explicitly guarantees that:

• We do not upload your files to any server.
• We do not transmit your files over the network for processing.
• We do not intercept, inspect, scan, or analyze the content of any file you process.
• We do not store, retain, log, or back up any file data.
• We do not access or examine any pixel-level data, text content, metadata, or document structure from your files.

All processing occurs locally in your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly, and the HTML5 Canvas API.

3.2 Third-Party Advertising

The Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Google, as a third-party advertising vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visit to the Site and other sites on the Internet.
• Google may collect non-sensitive browsing behavior data (such as pages visited, time spent, and general geographic location) for the purpose of ad personalization.
• This data collection is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and is separate from our own data practices.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
• You may also opt out of third-party cookie-based advertising by visiting www.aboutads.org.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Tools only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Tools to process content that infringes on any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any third party.
• Use the Tools to create, process, or distribute illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Site or Tools.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access or interact with the Site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
• Use the Tools to redact or process documents for the purpose of committing fraud, forgery, or any other illegal activity.

5. Intellectual Property

The ToolVX name, logo, and all related branding elements are the property of ToolVX. The source code of the Site is available on GitHub and is subject to its respective open-source license.

You retain all rights to the files you process using our Tools. Since all processing occurs client-side, we claim no ownership or rights over any content you process.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND TOOLS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Tools will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
• The results obtained from using the Tools will be accurate or reliable.
• Any errors or defects in the Tools will be corrected.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TOOLVX, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR TOOLS.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall not exceed the amount of one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ToolVX from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (including Google AdSense) that are not owned or controlled by ToolVX. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You access such third-party services at your own risk.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ToolVX operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
